APO WSM first held in the Republic of China

The Workshop Meeting of Heads of NPOs (WSM) is an important annual meeting of Asian Productivity Organization (APO), including participants such as delegates of member countries and the Secretary-general of APO. The meeting discusses future projects’ execution and progression, production-related topics, and member countries’ upcoming demands.
The WSM was held in Taiwan from October 22nd to the 24th of this year (2019); the opening ceremony began at 9 a.m. on October 22nd (Tuesday) at the Grand Hyatt Taipei. The event was chaired by Secretary-general Dr. AKP Mochtan and APO-ROC Director Hsu Sheng-Hsiung, congratulated on stage by MOEA Vice Minister Mei-Hua Wang, and attended by local and foreign guests, including 18 APO member country delegates and R.O.C. Industrial Development Bureau Director-General Jang-Hwa Leu. They witnessed the first occasion of the Republic of China hosting the annual meeting of APO since its participation in APO 58 years ago.
